What Is a Recipient Created Tax Invoice (RCTI)?

A Recipient Created Tax Invoice (RCTI) is a tax invoice created by the buyer(recipient) rather than the seller (supplier). It's used when the recipient is better placed to determine the value of the supply — for example, when pricing depends on market rates at the time of delivery. Both parties must be registered for GST and have a written agreement in place before any RCTI can be issued.
